You deserve to be a successful bariatric patient!

That might sound strange, but it’s 100% true.

Sometimes we feel guilty for pursuing a better version of ourselves.

Like we’re somehow doing something wrong.

Simply because other people don’t get it.

Your partner might tell you that they love you just the way you are (which is lovely but not exactly helpful).

Your friends don’t understand.

Your co-workers certainly don’t get it.

So we think... "It must be me. I'm the odd one out."

And in a way... yes, you are.

Because MOST people don’t take action.

Most people remain stuck and frustrated.

Most people know deep down that they’re capable of more and do nothing about it.

So yeah... you are the one who knows you deserve more and actually goes out and makes it happen.

But it does feel a little lonely at times.

Even guilty.

Is it selfish to put yourself first?

Of course not. But it can feel that way.

The truth is that taking control of your health by optimizing your bariatric journey makes you better in every role you play – whether it’s as a parent, partner, coworker or friend.

It enhances everything else you do.

But the path to get there is not an easy one. And it shouldn’t be.

It absolutely should be reserved for those who are willing to take the plunge into something that not many people understand.

And yet, you do it anyway because you know you deserve it.

You know you are worth it.

So let this be your reminder...

YOU deserve to be strong. To reach your goal weight. to celebrate all the NSVs. To have the lifestyle you've always dreamed of.

And if you want to make it happen...

Go make it happen.

You don’t need anyone’s approval or permission.

You got this.
